I never knew that catering to my comfort would provide you with IMMENSE personal satisfaction. Cool!
...if whoever sent that to you was serious...that was a wicked thing to do.
...in whoever sent that to you was being funny...it wasn't.
...if whoever sent that to you is just a goof-ball, tell them they got a A+ for the day...and made me groan.
Andy sent this to me early in our marriage. He has a pretty clear picture what I thought of it!
We use this as a checklist in our household... that is, of what NOT to do and say.
I remember getting this a while back, and being stunned that this was actually published in a magazine. I think the wording in point number 3 is very telling of the era & timeframe:
"Be a little gay..." Does that means a wife should get a crew-cut hairstyle and wear sleeveless flannel shirts? I'm so confused.
There are so many things wrong with this article, that there is no place to even begin! I wonder how many women really took that seriously in 1955. Actually, the real question is - how many MEN took that seriously in 1955!
Three years ago I would have wanted to put my hands around the neck of anyone who agreed with this article because I believed that God felt the same way...but thank ya Jesus for some understanding and some healing!!! I actually laughed all the way through the article and I didn't picture wanting to hurt anyone : ) Still praying for you guys! Ang
